    Is the 997S wide body or narrow body?

    I was wondering if anybody knows?
    Also is the S a 3.8?

    All "S" models are couple inches wider in the rear.

    However, that pertains to existing and earlier models. The 997 is supposed to be a widebody from the start, so it might be that the "S" implies added hp and a few other tweaks, not body width.

    Just a hunch.

    So far that has been true. I heard a rumor that the current 996 wide bodies would be produced along side the narrow body 997s. Again, I only HEARD such a rumor. It seems that if they were to produce a new wide-body, they would shoot themselves in the foot unless there were no longer making a wide-body coupe.

    Did you read the technical specs available here on Rennteam.com?

    Yes, the 997 S is a 3.8.
