    Re: Build Specs

It would have been quicker to list what option you didn't get

    Re: Build Specs

Interesting options, looking forward to see pictures!

Since you get the PCM package in Black, I'd also consider to change the colour on the Volcano grey Y-trin on the steering wheel. Not sure if Black would fit in there.

As an alternative, I could imagine to paint the aluminium bits on the dashboard, as well the ctr console, in exterior colour. I am in favour for the PCM package in leather. Think about it...

    Re: Build Specs

I'd pass on some of the aluminum add ons, car has a lot already. The side skirts are going to scuff up quickly, I'd pass on that as well. Overall, the car sounds sweet.

    Re: Build Specs

    Hello

H'mmm ally i had been thinking about , Side skirts a must have them on a current one as long as you are careful with feet looks so much better i think and always have them armourfended as will the whole front.

    Thanks for the feedback

    Re: Build Specs

I agree with the surgeon, the aluminum bits are actually just painted plastic. I'd rather go leather and painted plastic.

Congrats on the order and keep us posted!

    Re: Build Specs

    congrats for your car,

only one observation.are you sure noy getting tip...?think about it,have driven both,i guarantee you it's faster..

    read RC's review,might help.
    cheers

    Re: Build Specs

    speed yellow
    full nature brown leather
    stitching in yellow ..
    alluminum interior package

    or
    slate grey
    taracotta leather
carpet should be dark grey to match with exterior slate grey .
    carbon fiber interior package ...

    Re: Build Specs

    Re Tip
yes drove both the tip and the manual as above on Porsche days have a tip at the mo great for the road ( was great for the Cball8000 this year very relaxing 1 mph to 180MPH for 7 hours at a time not even tired ) but not the trackdays, ( i will be doing at least 6 days each year) the ratio's on the 5 speed tip is the only reason the car launchs quicker to 60 , the manual just leave it in 3 rd after pull away and the torque does the rest Spped yellow great on the GT3 but not for me on a Turbo its a bit too in your face for me i am afraid, think the ally may go and go for full painted in exterior GT silver to match the seats and console.

Anymore Comments please i have just 48 hours

    Re: Build Specs

    navigation?

    dan

    Re: Build Specs

PCM nav is standard on the TT

decided to change 1 thing doing away with the ally bits and having the parts painted in GTsilver option with dark grey stiching on the leather ? and missed someting also gone for the sports short shift any body else got this ? had it after fitted on the 996 it was spot on , is it the same in the 997TT ?

    Re: Build Specs

I have the sportshifter in mine and LOVE it. It's now a dealer installed option over here in the US but I'm not sure if it's a factory option over there. Definitely get it if you can.

I definitely agree. You'll want the front/rear aprons and side skirts painted, if the body color is a light color. With dark colors the black does not contrast that much. You just have to be very careful you don't scrape over curbs and such.

    Re: Build Specs

what us tgus 567 tinted wind???????????/ I searched the order catalog and found nothing. Tinted glass is standard I would think

    Re: Build Specs

I would axe the CD Changer. The single CD works great with MP3 CD's and lists all the track info in the PCM. I have not used my CD changer in weeks. The cost is really negligible but if I was doing it again, I would pass.

    Re: Build Specs

Option code 567 means that the top part of the front windscreen is tinted grey.

    Re: Build Specs

i have the sport shifter and find no stickiness at all when cold. I strongly recommend it!

    Re: Build Specs

Short shifter is no longer available from the factory.

    Re: Build Specs

    Okay

changed all the ally parts to painted in GT to match , and gone stiching in Gt to the dash doors and rear panels not the seats.
Also gone with the thicker steering wheel with Multi function

Sports shifter has been confirmed on the final build sheet ?

    Re: Build Specs

ITS IN The UK LOL , Cargraphic and other stuff going to my OPC on Monday Rain Please stop !! Anybody know were to get some nice rolled or flanged exh tips in the UK ?

    Re: Build Specs

    And what about LSD?

    Re: Build Specs

I have the rolled 88mm tips on mine. Be careful, they're prone to turning brown because of the extreme heat emitted by the Turbos.

I'd check with cargraphic to see if they've fixed this issue. I've since then had mine powdercoated black.

    Re: Build Specs

Yes had the LSD it was my first extra on my order LOL

Thanks for the Tips pic and info , the black powder coat idea sounds spot on

    Cheers

    Re: Build Specs

Here it is just managed to get the 100 Miles UP

    Re: Build Specs

and another i cannot help myself

    Re: Build Specs

Ps for anyone out there , the sport shifter is even better than my 996 smooth as a bambino's butt !! added a couple more things on the build from original. black painted PCM package , abs stunning , illuminated carbon entry guards and turbo embossed leather console lid glad i did all of the above esp the fully painted front and rear as well , thanks for all the help with suggestions , just got to get the tips for the Cargraphic Exhaust but sounds superb like a wolf in sheeps with the standard rear tips.

In case you missed it, powder coating doesn't work. Ceramic coating does, but surface preparation (sandblasting) is critical. If you have it done, find a shop that specializes in exhaust systems.

    Re: Build Specs

Tboner, is that GT silver or arctic?

    Re: Build Specs

Thanks for the info on the tips

yes GT Silver a lot darker than arctic , with all the factory black painted out in GT
