Me too ! I have always liked it and I still often think about buying one, specially that they are cheap.
Each morning when I bring my son to school there is another dad bringing his kid in a 928.... I look enviously at his and I bet he looks enviously at mine

Nice story Gnil. I have to say, given the choice between your -20mm 997 C4S and his old 928, I know which of you is the luckier one! Believe me, he is more envious of you than you are of him!!
Maybe about a year or so ago, one of the programmes on TV about cars here in the UK did a special feature on old cars which are worth buying. It may have been Fifth Gear. They were talking about the 928 and what a great buy it is. Within days/weeks of that programme, people cottoned onto this little secret and the second hand prices of 928s went up a lot. Good examples were commanding a healthy premium.
I love the old seat cloth patterns. Beige and chocolate block/stripe patterns. Really 1980s but I just love it.
I love that steering wheel with PORSCHE written in capital letters all the way across.
Something about the windows between the B pillar and the C pillar made me think: "This looks like a spaceship, that's so cool!"

Here are some pics (link), this is another unique 928 with only 1200 miles on it from 1978! I have seen it in person and checked out the interior. The cloth is amazing quality;

Sorry easy rider, I have even driven a stradale and can say I envy no other driver. There is just something so cool about driving a 928 especially with a custom exhaust, nothing sounds as good, drives as well at speed or has the gorgeous curves of a 928.
22 years later and not a rattle to be heard. Solid, fast, and luxurious. Porsche spared no expense building the 928 and it shows.
I do like the 997
very much but if i had to have only 1 sports car it would be the 928. A guy on the 928 board just got a veyron (lives in saudi), talks about all the exotics over there, and says of the very wealthy people he knows with car collections, those people preserve their 15 year old 928's while dumping their lambos and f-cars.
