    Without the cats it has to sound really good and probably runs cooler

    congrats!

    i noticed the Pirelli Pzero Corsa System tires instead of the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup. looks like Porsche use it asone of the OE tire as well just like the previous 996 GT3 RS. that's awesome. i love those tires. they might just be a bit street friendlier than the N-spec Cup tires.

    Well spotted on the tyre issue. i got my RS last week with cup tyres. They look really scary in cold, wet england in the winter!. Can you confirm Eric that these tyres were OE fit please? If they were I can start chasing Pirelli.

    Hi Eric,

    Glad that you are enjoying your new car. It looks fantastic in Orange - and especially with the Desert sky and background.

    Is there much opportunity for you to drive it in Dubai: is there a circuit you can use often? Are the police intolerant of foreigners driving fast on public roads? Are public roads generally very well surfaced? Is there traffic congestion?

    Yes the tyres are OE.Talking to the local Porsche dealer,they have 3 RS in order 1 orange and 2 silver.Its one of the world biggest dealer they deliver nearly 100 Cayennes a month(YES!)as far as I know they have a waiting for it.Regarding the 997 Turbo,its a 2 years waiting list.A Porsche or a Ferrari is far from beeing an unusual car in Dubai .At the last Motorshow,they have sold 5 Bugatti Veyron,just to give you an idea of the cars you see around.The local Porsche Club is very active and thats a real chance for us.

    Unfortunatly the majority of the roads are straight.But we are lucky enought to be able to drive on the Dubai Autodrome time to time.Its a wonderful track : www.dubaiautodrome.com

    I absolutely love it - awesome! Great pics. We need more - some interior shots would be nice!!

    Some questions on your options. What's the verdict on tyre pressure monitoring? I was wondering how practical it would be if your track your car - is there any issues when it comes to changing tyres?

    Also sport chrono plus - what's the story?

    Wow - beautiful! I live in Johannesburg, South Africa, and my daily driver is a 996 RS. The 997's arrive here January so I'm considering trading up. I love the orange or silver. Enjoy, and let us know how it drives.
