I heard form a friend of mine who is one the list for one that it will get the Gallardo's V10 modified with two turbos and 600HP. The same 600HP V10 Bi-Turbo that the Audi Nuovoliari and Audi Le Mans concepts got. I think 500HP is more reasonable though.

I assume they will present it with 500hp or slightly more. There's always the chance for a RS8 plus later on.
BTW, they will also put this engine in the new RS6.

You are probably right, maybe 500HP for the S8 and a RS8 with 600HP later on. And now the RS6 too with 500HP+? this is getting ridiculous.

My Audi tech told me today that Audi wants to go away from turbo charged engines. One reason is the fact that a lot of customers mod their cars for more power and apparently they have problems to track down these modified cars in case of warranty repairs. Another reason seems to be reliability and of course...cost.

Interesting, MB also dropped the supercharging they always used in in their smaller AMG models, the CLK55AMG, SLK55AMG and C55AMG get a n/a V8.

I think you're right about Audi and turbos, RC (that's why the new S4 is a NA V8 instead of TTV6) - I wonder why BMW is going to start turbocharging its new models...
