Sad..but not only will you have more space garage, cars to pay the new toy, but you will have space in your mind to think about the next few cars to get in 2007 !

Sadly I am not comming to SA this winter ( your summer) ... but next time I am arround I hope to shake hands with you

Sorry to hear that Gnil! We will make plans definately for next time

    @JimFlat6: Thanks bud

Re: This is going to be a sad weekend...

With your appreciation towards cars and a selection with such diversity, you should become an auto dealer. It might be cheaper and rewarding @ the same time

Re: This is going to be a sad weekend...

As Eric said, look on the bright side.
This means you'll have lots of room to buy new cars. Audi R8, Aston V8 Roadster....

    I agree, totally!!!!!

No rs4,v8 vantage,r8,cayenne etc could live VS LP640! Good choice!

Re: This is going to be a sad weekend...

As others here have said already, it's all about quality not quantity.

Mike S, I think you're doing absolutely the right thing even though it feels a bit painful right now. It's easy to get attached to delicious cars like an SL65, Noble M400, Audi RS4 and a Cayenne Turbo.

BUT, I would gladly part with these for a LP640. I can't remember just what cars you'll have left (man, you have too many to keep count of ).

But if memory serves me correctly, you already have a F430, 997S so all you need to complete the set is a Lambo.

Many, many congrats man. After you've driven the LP640, I'll bet you'll feel no regrets at all and you'll question yourself why you felt so emotionally cut up over the change in the days before you took the plunge.

Just please, take lots of pics so us daydreamers can enjoy your pleasure by proxy!

Enjoy this weekend - it's not going to be a sad one at all!

Re: This is going to be a sad weekend...

I was really wondering for how long this guy is going to keep on buying so many mid ranged sports cars and not one REAL SUPERCAR (no offence ).I guess hes enlightened at last. wish only the best with this fine automobile...

Re: This is going to be a sad weekend...

    i forgot about the f430...

Re: This is going to be a sad weekend...

Congrats! Im sure your insurance company has trouble keeping up with all your cars! But i am sure you are also one of their favorite customers!

What aftermarket exhaust system are you thinking?

    - F430
    - 997 C2S Cab
    - Lotus Exige S
    - Bentley Arnage T Mulliner
    - Touareg V10 TDi
    - Range Rover Sport S/C (to be traded in when ML63AMG arrives)
    - Z3 M Coupe ACS
    - Mini Cooper S JCW

Definately has to be Capristo Mike, I agree that the tips spoil the murcielago rear design and even more if its a LP640, that big stock tip is just UNIQUE, so I guess I would do the same as you say !!!

The carbon black guy that install the capristo in his lp640, its just the best sound ever!!!!!!!!!, along with the zonda F and of course carrera gt , ohh and now?....997 gt3

Re: This is going to be a sad weekend...

I would do the same, the Lambo in an exoctic on every way, it will be a special occasion every time you put that engine running, it's a supercar, congrats Mike

What kind of problems did you had with your RS4?

    J.Seven

Re: This is going to be a sad weekend...

I can't wait to see the pictures of your new investment!
And I heard that the RS4's had a few problems, I'm not too surprised by that.

    Thanks J. Seven

I have had some engine lights on the RS4 that came on. Apparently it was caused by faulty sensors. So they fixed the problem but then the headlights wouldn't turn off. So I had to send it back. A couple days later the clutch felt spongey and wouldn't release. Sent it in and wasn't 100% fixed when it came back. So I just had enough... Was a great car when it did work though

If there wasn't a new Cayenne coming out, I would have kept the Cayenne Turbo and let the Toureg go but again, you're doing the right thing keeping the Toureg until the new Cayenne is available.

However, I would get rid of the BMW and Mini to get a Audi R8 instead (but you have probably gone off Audis for a while after the gremlins you suffered with the RS4)

Best of luck anyway. Have a great weekend collecting your new car!

Thanks easyrider, I will only be collecting the car early next year. Going on holiday next week and I won't be back in time to see when the car will be at the dealership. I'll think about an R8 once the official pirces have been released in the SA. Dealers expect it to be quite hefty though
