While I really love the GT3 Touring, this GT2 RS "Touring" looks hideous.

also not the biggest fan of a wingless GT2 RS. In Germany i would also be a bit concerned as to how the car would handle without the wing at speeds over 250 kmh. The front splitter generates so much downforce that it has to be held in place with steel ropes behind the mesh...

I think its GREAT to see so many different specs of GT2RS. Crazy colors that cost as much as a carrera, crazy interiors, Weissach package and non-Weissach specs, wing or wingless.... Taste is indivdual - imagine all specs were the same....

I've seen at least half a dozen cars live and all of them had the Weissach package. Of course this doesn't mean that a majority has the Weissach package but it certainly seems to be a very popular option.

yeah same here. Except mine, which is a non-Weissach, I have only seen Weissach specs. I am estimating a ratio of 1 to 10

When driven at 8/10 and above, the logic in the PDK program is so good that there is no need to override it.

Porsche really spent endless hours tuning the box.

And this affords the driver to concentrate on actually driving the car and extra more performance out of it.

I never understand why people drive in manual mode to achieve fastest lap times. Auto mode works (in most modern sportscars) much better. I have to admit though that I drive 90% of the time in manual mode when driving on public roads, just for the fun of it. On the Autobahn however, I usually put it in auto mode because I don't care, not the biggest fan of Autobahn driving, it is boring, even at very high speeds. Smiley

I drive my RS 95% of the time in manual . On the track 100% . It is for sure slower , but , it gives me more pleasure and a bit of a challenge . I am not ready to give it all up to the computer .

With my 997 , 80 % of the time in automatic as the boxe is too slow and not direct enough to enjoy it in manual

I drive my 991 RS in manual 100% of the time on track and in auto 100% of the time on street.

Tried it in auto on track and it is really, really good. But the gearbox doesn't have eyes.
I prefer to drive it in manual because of the involvement - feels more fun - and in wet very wise IMHO.

But this is a s personal as your favorite PTS color.

I also drive the RS 100% in manual mode on the track and actually everytime I want to kick it on a countrside road etc. I know the Automatic modes became really good! but when you got to know the car and gear ratios really well, i definately prefer the overall control over the car in manual mode. the downshift can still be made a bit earlier with manual which increases engine breaking even more in my opinion. in some videos of Gebhard in the sportauto supertest on Nordschleife for instance the Auto box changes gears back and forth quite often in some corners. i just dont like that feeling...

In manual mode on track, it's almost the same as driving my Cup car, paddle shift both hands on the wheel. Just missing the clutch paddle hehe.
