    Aluminum Look Seat Backs

    Does anyone have pictures of sports seats with the aluminum look back? Specifically, I'm considering a cocoa interior with mostly aluminum accents.

    Here's the stock sport seats seatback.

    I think the aluminum one is completely smooth; no u-shaped ridge, no hook. Anyway, I've seen silver seat backs that are very bright and smooth (like fenders), I believe that's the aluminum look. (can't find the pictures)

    As one who has a full leather cocoa interior in my 997, I would be hesitant at using much aluminum look with that color. Such a combination would look fine with black. But when you view a full cocoa interior you find it is a much richer looking color, hence the hesitation.

    Here's what appears to be the Al Look. Apparently it's simply the stock "smoked silver" ("volcano grey?") color replaced by the aluminum trim color.

    This is the closest I could find. It is GT Silver on Cocoa leather.

    Wow, that's the worst picture I've ever seen of cocoa. Given that it always looks bad in photos, I still think people should see it in person before ordering.

    IMHO, the 997 interior is already waaaaay too bizzy and adding all these bright aluminum elements might bring it over the top for some people.

    Definitely problematic (IMO) Notice how the white stitching sticks way out and bizzy-fies everything in these photos on the link jerrygee provided.

    Also check whether the side air bags in the seats backs are also painted - the ones int he pic abpve were done specially, and not part of the painted seat backs option.

    Oh BTW, in percymon's picture, it shows the elastic-rimmed pouches on seat backs.

    I'm fairly certain Porsche discontinued them in the Carrera for 2006 (and beyond?).

    cleaner look w/o them etc... .

    I'd rather have them since nobody sees my C2S seatbacks anyway... .

    Not what I would've specced, but this interior looks extremely sharp w/the basalt black seatbacks & other contrasting bits! (someone on rennlist bought this car)
