    After using mt GT3 as a daily driver for the last 12 months I finally relented and am now commuting in one of these...



    It's a diesel, auto...but I love it. 369ft lb of torque, proper iPod integration, 500 miles to tank etc...great for the winter slog into London.

    Good choice going with the RS4. Are you getting it from Barrier or University Audi? What color?

    We can't get those BMW 1 series in the US.

    Jason - Barrier, nor University had allocation on the RS4, so I called Larson in Tacoma - also, that looks like an E90 wagon, not 1-Series....

    Jason - I think I'll go with a silver or silver/grey on the RS4 - I like black, but keeping one clean is more than enough...

    Why not get something with color, such as yellow, blue or even red? We definitely don't need another silver car!

    I've seen one in black and it's a beast but I'd prefer it in red to be honest...you can check out the EVO long-termer and see what they've come up with so far...as far as I can recall excessive oil consumption is a problem...and there were some vibrations from the engine but they said it was just the engine software and they'll download a new one...the tires lasted 14k miles and are seriously expensive, for a car of its category, to replace...anyways...here's the link

    Lot of road construction going on by me for the next 2-3 years. This truck is my daily driver and tow vehicle. I throw the dogs and the mountain bike in it dry or wet, clean or dirty. Haul race wheels and tires, engine blocks, park it anywhere I want and it never gets dinged, drive it on any surface and never worry about wheel damage. It is also very easy to persuade traffic to move out of the way in it. It even looks good whether filthy or washed.

    WetTT, I believe your requirements might be best served with a Suburban, or a Exploder. Yuky as those choices sound they can be very useful, and if tarted up they can be eye catchers. Of course there is always a Hummer with chrome dubs. None of these would represent a big investment for you, in fact a lease arrangement might be the way to go.

    Jason - I'm kinda done with the Lexus - had a major problem with the dealer and Lexus NA - the front brake pads and rotors needed replacement at 14.5k miles - I could maybe understand the pads being replaced but not the rotors - and they will not replace under warranty - so I paid out $900 -and it's not the money thats so much of an issue, but the principle so bye-bye Lexus forever and Lexus NA would not do anything about it either - kinda disappointing since they thrive on thier supposedly superior service - been to a few Lexus message boards and numerous complaints about the front pads/rotor issue - probably a class action lawsuit would wake them up...
    Back to the replacement - test drove the '07 X5 4.8 - absolutely hot vehicle - I owned an '02 4.4 - and the new one is a 100% improvement...so the X5 is definitely on my short list. Also, the 335i - 6-speed, although didn't feel as fast as an E46 M3, it certainly would keep up with it...

    I would bet its faster than the e36 and a not quite as fast as the e46.

    yeah...probably from rolling starts since it's got loads of torque and a 7k or more redline...

    the new 335 is as fast as an E46M3, and chipped is easily turning out over 350rwhp, making it probably faster than the upcoming E90M3 as well

    after the 335i I'm expecting the new M3 to be something really good...that V8 hopefully won't ruin the 50-50 chassis balance..
