Since almost every manufacturer now has a design studio in Asia, US and Europe and because they are nearly all are linked real time with full sized 3D imaging , we are starting to see cars designed by one " mind set " of blending of three cultures in every car designed . There may come a time when visual differences between Asian and European cars will blur especially at the higher luxury levels , where the well -to-do ( and knowledgable ) have been buying the same non-car luxury goods brands for decades , irrespective of country of origin.
Best recent example : The Buick Velite concept , blending classic 1930s American Buick Y-job oval waterfall grill and subtle boatail with BMW 3 series short overhang proportions and Germanic wheel stance with feudal Japanese /Asian influences of woven fabric and golden lauquer and subdued brushed nickel tones.
