Fords here in the uk have a swtich in the boot, in which if the car has a crash the fuel pump is turned off?
i'm not sure if ferraris have this switch, but from all of theses crash fires, if they dont have one they could do with one..
That's what I have been wondering also - does anybody know more about it ?
The driver seems to be in pretty worrisome condition due to the heavy burns
Seems that it may have been his first ride in the car (just bought a day before the crash), underestimating what it means to master an Enzo on wet tarmac.
Here are some press clippings:

Mr Kerimov bought the Ferrari Enzo in Nice earlier on Saturday, police said. Witnesses told investigators that the car had been weaving in and out of vehicles at high speed on the Promenade des Anglais, Nice's best-known thoroughfare, police said.
The vehicle span out of control on the wet road before hitting the tree.
Mr Kerimov, engulfed in flames, pulled himself out of the car and rolled on the grass, the police said.

According to the French police, he was overtaking another car and lost control of the $650,000 sports car, hitting the sidewalk and then a tree before the engine caught fire.
Published reports said that Kerimov's clothes were on fire as he jumped out of the Ferrari and that his face was the most severely burned area, although his family requested that details of his condition not be released.
Doctors, who put Kerimov in a coma due to his "very worrisome condition," will wait 48 hours before deciding on a diagnosis, said a spokeswoman for the city's hospitals who declined to be identified.

Doctors said that he had suffered burns to 70 per cent of his body and that they would not be able to assess his prospects of survival for 48 hours.

Many businessmen that have had dealings with Kerimov, ``are afraid to talk about him, limiting themselves to diplomatic expressions,'' Forbes said in June. Kerimov has benefited from close relations with Yelena Baturina, the billionaire wife of Moscow Mayor Yuri Luzhkov, and Sberbank, which lent him $3.2 billion to buy Gazprom and Sberbank shares, the magazine said.
