    Porsche's marketing department is really making a good move then.

    PDK probably will draw a fresh wave of buying and then 2nd wave from the face lift

    do you happened to know if PDK will available for GT3?

    I would think that the 2008 models should hit the streets (USA) around Sept. Or am I mistaken? A hypothetical 20 h.p. increase and PDK would be nice.

    First reason, as already said: Cayenne facelift in 2007.
    Second reason: they've just presented the targa. So if the facelift would come already after the factory holiday 2007, the targa would have been on the market for less than one year. I think Porsche won't do that. So presentation or a teaser at the IAA in Frankfurt in September and delivery in early 2008 sounds right.

    MY08 when it comes out. The reason for doing this is it is better to launch a model year early and let it run longer, than launch late and have it be short.

    I love the new front! It's much cleaner and has a better linear flow. The back looks a little, well, Japanese.

    Introduction in MY '09 (!)
    Engine: approximately + 15 hp, probably direct fuel injection

    It's different, makes the pre-facelift look "old" so people buy the "new" modell...

    I agree! To me, the new front bumper makes the car look like an uglier 40th anniversary 996 (the one with the Turbo bumper). I like the current version better.

    Driving around in almost uncloaked facelift prototypes... I don't get it, makes no sense if the update is nearly two years away (MY09). IMO the 997-II must be much nearer.
