Thicker steeling wheel problem and GT-3 production delay
I was just informed by the dealer that my April 8 production
date for my GT-3 was pushed back to May because of the
thicker steering wheel option. According to PCNA, the wheel
has to have another layer of leather stitched on, etc....must
be labor intensive. At first thought this appears like a completely bogus excuse, but I thought I had read about another person's experience on this forum a few months ago.
Also, according to the dealer and PCNA, there will be a couple
of months hiatus on GT-3 production, does anyone know why?
I would assume to build GT3-RS's. Anyway, the reason I was informed of this was because my car was either on one side or the other of this production gap. I luckily ended
up on the short side, even with the 2-3 week difference
for the steering wheel option.
