    2nd time engine flooded and towed to dealer?

    the was started and taken outside for 10 min then driven back into the garage and the engine flooded and would not start, and had to be towed to dealer, this is the second time? what should i do/tell dealership, is this normal or is there a fix?

    this is not normal and you should scream to ur dealer manager!!

    i talked to the porsche district manager and he said that u can NOT turn on and off and on the car as it will indeed flood the engine. my dealership said there have been many other turbos yowed for the same reason. the engine must run for 10 minute(even if u only need to move ur car) otherwise you can flood the engine which requires an oil change. it is within operating spec for the Turbo model only! he also said the dealer/seller should have told u before buying/ordering the car.

    What would flooding the engine have to do with a required oil change ?

    apparently the oil has mixed with the fuel too much. i cant believe this either. if someone can get this in writing that would be great, becasue i am skeptical.

    Hey guys i talked to my porsche guy in newport beach, and he said that hes never heard of anything. Maybe its a european model thingy, cause down here, they seem to be fine

    Well, since they are not fitting European spec cars with carburetors either, I have my doubts. How often do you hear of an electronic fuel injected engine "flooding"?
