    Thanks DDW! the 997 headlights don't look as bad as previous spy shots ... I'm picturing in my mind how the 997 with aerokit would look...

    These are the best spy shots I EVER saw of the 997. The car is still camouflaged but if you look closely, you can see the shape of the car. The rims are production rims in 19'' size. Good job is all I can say.

    I'll ask farina if he can make the "real" thing out of it.

    The car looks fantastic. Not the step backwards so many seem to be prone to thinking.

    I agree, great pics The best ones so far. You can get a pretty good picture of how the car will finally look. The rims are kinda strange to me, but it looks good....black on silver/grey.

    Great pics! Rear looks really cool and wider than 996, as RC said! :-)

    Also it looks like the seats are somewhat different (wider) too

    I really feel happy in this sense for many months!!!!

    The car looks so............!CARRERA!

    ...and for me, sayng Carrera includes all other superlative adjectives...

    Please excuse my shouting, but I have lately been rather depressed with the previous "mule" approaches of the "new" model of my so beloved Carrera.........That this photos have given me an intense moment of happiness........Thanks Wr!

    Once again...........I really hope that the Carrera "concept" will survive all of us..........not a matter of stupid "fashion"......beauty has no age (Is The Firenze's Duomo old fashioned?)..........

    I would just BEG people from Porshe to consider that the power/weight ratio really matters......... I'm shure that in one sense or other we will be largely satisfied.

    These are by far the best views of the 997 and it looks much nicer than in previous shots. I'm still curious to hear about the final mechanical upgrades though (suspension changes, engines, trannies, etc.) ...

    What about 997 convertible? I suppose you saw it too and after I saw the latest pictures I am starting to think about adding 997 cab to my TT instead of Boxter :-)

    i wonder what's under that tape? it almost looks like a headlight washer similiar to the 996 design.

    at this point i prefer the front end of the 996--post 2002 but i suppose i'll get used to this new 911 variant too. i always do.

    i do love seeing that timeless 911 shape continue
