    today is 9/11 the best day to order a....911

    Dear Rennteamers,

    After so many years of patience I placed my order today for a 997 S.
    Specs
    Artic silver
    Cocoa
    short shift
    sports exhaust
    rain sensor
    parktronic
    sports seats
    fire extinguisher
    bose sound system and....

    Sports suspension 20" with LSD.

    Delivery for end of February . Until then I' ll try to sleep!

    Congratulations..
    I just question the -20mm .... Are the roads in good conditions in Corfu ?
    There was someone from Turkey that regretted the sports chassis as on bad roads it becomes quite ' jumpy'..

    The roads are not good and Corfu is an island were the car cant really be used but the mainland is close 1 hour ferry and there you really can use it.

    Of course Greek roads are a bit artistic but this gives you the excitment of trying to avoid.....objects and other stuff!!!

    I just hope you are aware that with the sport chassis the ride will be hard and that the car will ' jump' on bumpy roads.
    I do have this even in Switzerland, but 90 % of my driving is on nice flat roads ( with full of curves of course, and no cheeps or cows on it!!!! )

    Congratulations on your purchase. I'd still throw in a leather or painted rear console, but otherwise, your spec is excellent. Now the waiting game begins...

    I remember that the road from Kerkira to Paleokastritsa was a perfect road for spirited driving with smooth asphalt and great corners. At least it was 20 years ago. Haven't been there since.

    Many congrats, Florent - great spec, nice colour combo
    I second The Groom's advise on the rear center console (I'd opt for rear center console in exterior colour in order to get a variation on the Cocoa theme) and I'd throw in the silver-grey seatbelts also (IMO very nice with the Cocoa and also complementing a rear center console in Arctic)
    Now let the wait begin....

    I know that the car will be hard but on the other hand the way I drive I do not want a car without the LSD... My BMW 330 convertible does not have it and believe me her back is pretty keen on joining me in the front seats sometimes ...

    Hell, my spec is already north of Euro 30,000 in options, and I had to draw the line at X51 and PCCB... It's THAT bad. I'm even longing for a custom-built Turbo Targa, and I too damn well know I can't afford it.

    When you see the price of options here in Greece....I' ll try and stay veeeryyy focused on my order as if I keep on listening to you guys I am going to end with a very long bill !!!

    You remember well. This is one of my favourite roads and its actually wider now which adds to the pleasure.

    It is just to make sure you are making the right decision.
    I love my -20mm, but I would not get if I would be driving more then 50 % on bumpy roads.

    Should be getting a beautiful car. I too specced my car on Sunday with cocoa interior. I also wanted -20mm, but the salesman was adamant that I should go for the normal setup.

    It was me.
    I suggest you have a test drive with -20mm chassie before you order it.

    by the way, congrats for the beautiful car
