    No Ron,

    He was on "Top Gear", a BBC TV car show which was then discontinued roughly 3 years ago. When that show went off the air, Tiff Needell and a couple of other people started on a new show called "5th Gear" on Channel 5. Gettit?

    BBC later restarted Top Gear with a new format, carrying over Jeremy Clarkson from the earlier crew. TG has now degenarated (my admittedly very opinionated view) into a more general entertainment show for the masses, which just happens to feature cars. The opinions expressed on cars tested have to be taken with a ton of salt.

    5th Gear is still good for entertaining footage of exotic cars drifting at extreme angles and for test assessments which mean something in the real world.

    You know, I was going to edit and mention that what is sexier to a sportcar enthusiast than watching a girl like Vicky rev matching, drifting and tossing around a sportcar around the track?

    I'd missed that the first time around, otherwise I wouldn't have covered the same ground again today.

    The "other people" I mentioned who went from Top Gear to 5th Gear with Tiff Needell were Vicki Butler-Henderson and a guy called Quentin Willson, who has also published a couple of books on cars.
