I came out of a local grocery store last Sunday and was surprised to see my P-car flanked by two more. There aren't a lot of P-cars in my little town (5,000 population) so it was nice to see some others. Both were black, one was a restored vintage 923 (?)(I can find out) Cab and the other a black Boxster S. Turns out it was a lovely family from Charlotte (pit stop at the grocery store) on their way to "do The Dragon" the following day, Monday. Dad (Ed) was driving the restored 923 (?) and son & friend were in the Boxster S. We had a nice chat and Ed sent me this email today that I'd like to share with you, has three good Dragon links.

"You should go to the "Tail" and try it out. It is a beautiful road and you can have a world of fun at less than 40 mph. We were told Monday is the least crowded day to go with the weekends being the worst due to congestion. They claim 318 turns in the 11 mile run, so speed is on the low end period. You can check the website at:

A map to get there is at:

and a great printable map of the course is at:

There are plenty of spots to pull over and let those who want to go faster by. I did just that a few times and was the beneficiary of the same a few times. You can go as you like. It is fun and a beautiful drive. It's well worth the trip. I would guess Brevard is about 100 miles or two hours away. Go have some fun and enjoy your car!"
