750*4 = 3000. Far from 5600 no?
I think he paid a Porsche price :-)
I try to explain:
this is a complete wheelset incl. the original rims.
I don't like switching tires only due to safety reasons (tires 18'' and larger can be seriously damaged in this process if not done right, damage mostly invisible), so I had two choices: going with cheaper aftermarket rims and the Porsche approved N-certified winter tires or going with a complete wheelset. I've chosen the more expensive option since I have to drive almost 6 months with this setup.
Btw: for those who think that ANY winter tire in the Porsche approved size will do, think again. It HAS to be a N-certified for the 997 Turbo approved tire, otherwise you won't be happy with it, especially with dry performance but also with snow performance. The N-certified winter tires have been adapted to the electronic AWD of the 997 Turbo, incl. the increased torque. Right now, Porsche apparently uses the Pirelli Snowsport and the Michelin Alpine PA2 for the 997 Turbo but not the Conti. Will check on this again.
