Thank you for the additional pictures. A fitting setting for a gorgeous car. 
As for the wheels: Most Rennteamers who ordered them love them, but many complain about having to clean the numerous spokes (think brake dust (no PCCB), salt, road grime...).
Since Midnight Blue is a gorgeous, but maintenance-intensive color as well, I think I'm going to stick with the tried and tested 5-spoke Carrera wheels.

Great pics you've posted - reminds me of my summer alpine tour when I used exactly the same roads - though with the top down. With the Targa you definitely have the edge during the winter time - you still can enjoy the wonderful alpine landscape in full panorama with your big sunroof, and have it warm and cozy in the driver's cabin at the same time - enjoy and keep the pics coming

Welcome to the board, Vantage 78,
no rattle at all, but I heard a rumor before ordering that some 996 targas had to be modified. Two reliable sources told me that there is no risk of rattle withe the 997 targa, so I ordered. Maybe You should ask 996 owners about this issue. You will find some of them in this thread.

Welcome to this forum. My 996 did not suffer from these rattles. Maybe I did not keep it long enough (sold it after a bit over a year, when I moved to the US)!

The 997 Targa roof is a few pounds lighter than the 996 roof, and the car body is much stiffer, so this should help in that regard.
Rattles or not, I'm definitely buying one early next year. The glass roof concept is worth a mass!

After about 8000km, my brand new 996 Targa started to rattle and squeak from the roof. After lubricating the mechanism, the rattles went away, only to reappear after a few months. Lubrication was required twice a season, free of charge by my dealership. I fell in love with the 997 and upgraded to a C2S this summer.
I LOVED that car.
This one, with the wide hips and all year drive-ability in midnight blue . . . I'm just speechless . . .
