trip 7
completed the break-in yesterday 360 mi. of mostly blu road fun....took nm. hwy # 60 most of the way which was senic and deserted as usual, with the exception of a rather nice sized herd of prong horn antelope.....took last trips tt forum suggestion to fool around with the sport mode, which was great fun and offers a very engaging drive in 5th and 6th without disrespecting the 4200rpm deal which is now history.....i liked the car in sport mode much more than just the sport suspension setting....it just seems to work better,imo.....i was able to do this for approx 50 mi. of good quality 2 lane asphalt that was up/down and medium twisty the car remained screwed to the road at all times....
i've become a firm believer that the 2k rule is really all about you becoming aquainted with this very special piece of machinery and all it's extraordinary capabilities which over the past couple of months i've discovered layer by layer, and even now there is much new fun ahead.....i've enjoyed this car much more than any porsche i've ever owned.....i attribute this to all the rennteamers who are way into driving vs. posuering which really this car is not about, thanks.
now at 2100 miles with no oil use or a seriously defective oil guage, this even with some pretty spirited driving particularily this last trip.
