    New RUF Cayman - OMG is it fast!

    I just received the promo package for the RUF Cayman. There is a 440 HP version that is faster 0-60 than my old 996 TT! Zing!

    Is this car worth considering, is it as good as a factory car in that its the way it supposed to be, meaning all parts work well with eachother, does that make sense. Does it have an LSD. i'd love to see some reviews and comparisons done with this car.

    no, its not the RK coupe but what it is i dont know. Is this a simple conversion or does it include suspension parts, doess it have an lsd?

    lol - call me clueless. I guess you can attach it.

    It isn't an RK. Those are much more expensive, with the body being almost entirely new. I don't see LSD on the "menu".

    Yeah, I noticed that too - seems like a big ommission with all that power & torque. I think they didn't want to upset the PSM and other electronic aids...

    I read on another site, cayman club, a post by a guy, i think a ruf guy who said it has an lsd and lots of stuff...

    "Assuming the PDF is my blue metallic baby, it is chock full of goodies. Engine is supercharged to 400+ hp, LSD, Ruf suspension, larger front brakes, new front bumper cover (mid inlet for radiator for air/water intercooler), rear bumper cover is modified, Ruf exhaust, 19" Ruf wheels. I got to put over 1200 km on the car driving to Spain from Pfaffenhausen and it was everything I had hoped for. Plan to have it shipped to Dallas for an intro at the Ruf Autocentre in the next month or so."

    I guess it does have LSD.

    Good news - I wonder if it has a true clutch-type LSD (like GT3) or more of a torque-biasing diff (like Quaife)?

    A 440 hp Cayman sounds very impressive, and should outrun most other cars, except GT3 and RS.

    I do think the rear could be sexed up some. It needs a wider butt and some sort of significant spoiler to really radiate menace. IMHO, of course.

    The car in the blue is a Ruf Cayman, however it is not the Ruf RK coupe, thats a different model.

    I don't think they have updated the site. This material just came in. I am sure you can order one, though.
