Personally? the Carrera GT, simply because its the most supercar of all in the list. The one that offers the most supercar qualities that you can only enjoy in a supercar, and that HP alone cannot give you. Only cars such as the CGT, Zonda F, Enzo, McLaren F1, etc can give that experience.
My second choice out of the bunch would be the Murc LP640.

I agree and I would choose the F1 from that list (and the CGT from the current list)
I might also include the Porsche GT1 and Dauer 962 from earlier years and the new Capraro (spelling?) that is coming soon from the former McLaren folks should be spectacular too...

Some people might be turned off by the ridiculous weight, the loss of power via 4WD (rumored 22-25% loss), the inability for it to keep up with the competition (0-200, 0-300 vs 599, CGT, SLR).
I don't think any of those cars touch the CGT, but the CGT shouldn't be compared with the other cars on this list (as afformentioned by Carlos)

hurst i might be wrong but the lp640 has a better 0 to 300 than the slr and the cgt , to my knowledge only the 599 is faster to 300
after all the important part are the numbers , if there is loss of power via the awd or no , the 3.4 0 to 100 and the 31 sec to 300 are nice...

I'm with Carlos on this one, so I'd go for the Carrera GT as well, due to it being a true thoroughbred and the spectacular sound. The LP640 is also my second choice because it's a beast. Smooth and brutal. And the small cosmetic changes compared to the normal Murciélago really make a big difference.

Anyway, I voted for the carrera GT too. I hesited a second between the murci and the GT. Hard to choose between the 2.

First choice: CGT
It looks stunning, is the benchmark for perfection and has mindblowing engine sound.
Second Choice: 599GTB
Although it is a sporty and high performing GT rather then a straight raw sports car it does looks sexy, sleek and attractive, just like a Ferrari should.
Third Choice: LP640
This car might have a very powerful engine and great looks but isn't a engineering masterpiece like the CGT, F430 and the Gallardo. I beleive it has a steel chassi and does weigh quite alot but it has sissor doors .and unique looks.
It looks stunning, is the benchmark for perfection and has mindblowing engine sound.

You may be correct and that definitely invalidates my point.
Nevertheless, I don't pay much attention to straightline performance for my own intensive purposes. I've ridden in a CGT and driven an old Murci, so I have limited experience (compared to your extensive testdrive of the LP64) to draw from, but there are a few factors to be decided:
-I stress this in a good amount of posts, the CGT was not designed for 0-300kmph performance, nor are many of the cars that are built for track performance. If you put 505hp in a C6, it will destroy a Z06 to 300kmph. Why? The z06 has a much higher Cd than the C6 because it needs to reduce lift for track performance.
Same situation with the CGT. It is not a GT car, it is a track monster. It has a relatively high Cd compared to some of these cars that hinders it in these straightline tests, but that doesn't really bother me.
The LP640 is a grand vehicle; blends exoticism, exclusivity, mind-numbing acceleration, an entoxicating exhaust note, AWD safety and Audi reliability in one package.
It's a phenomenal specimen, but not quite right for me.

The 599GTB is the quickest but the most tame. It doesnt look special either.
The lambo has the looks and the sound from the get go, but
is just another mutant Lambo V12.
The SLR looks better and less nose long in person, but its missing a manual gearshift and it really isnt that much more special than a SL65.
The CGT wins my vote and here is why.
1. Takes some skill amd knowledge to drive
2. Last Porsche with proper Porsche floor hinged pedals
3. Looks special
4. Has normal doors
5. Was not bait for the poseur crowd of look at me buyers
6. Has detachable roof panels
7. Has the right sound and look for a special Porsche
8. Its a real sports car
9. No Russian gangsters at Monte Carlo driving them
10. Most genuine supercar ever built

Agree 100%...despite the Carrera GT is, for me, almost as desirable. Maybe the GT is better in twisted roads, but I'd prefer to have the Lambo....and I hope someday will.
In any case, my favourite is not in the poll: The Bugatti Veyron. For me, the very best of all.

I second that, coming from a Ferrari owner. I would never pick the 599, the styling is just too ugly!
Funny, coz I am a 100% convinced porschephile, but in this segment, I'd take the 599. It is absolutely stunning

I love Porsche design too, but I can't get over how it looks as if the 599 is constantly smiley at me from the front all the time.
