    997 Wheels ??

    Anbody know what the wheels are that we see on the 997 test mules?
    Tiink they look pretty good even in black

    Those rims in my personal opinon are butt ugly. Those are test wheels, check some of the other 997 threads to see other wheels. All are five spoke and wll be in either 19" or 18" wheels sizes.

    Funny, but the design of the rims you posted looks exactly like Mercedes-Benz rims.

    those are actually 993 C2 wheels, porsche uses those on all their test mules (hell, even the 03 boxster test mules 2 years ago)

    The wheels on the mules are usually specifically manufactured to Porsche specs. They have a pretty boring and ugly design because test mules don't have to look good (on the contrary) and Porsche doesn't want to give away the design of the new rims of the upcoming model. That simple.

    Don't worry, these rims won't be available on the final 997.

    You're right....almost identical! (and very similar to the 90s cup wheels!

    Those are most likely test wheels, the 997 will have optional 19" wheels.
