    Tire Rack survey for 997S tyres

    A question for those owners who have Bridgestone Potenza RE050A tyres fitted. Are your tyres "Bridgestone Potenza RE050A" or "Bridgestone Potenza RE050A POLE POSITION"?? I am assuming it is NOT the latter. There seems to be quite difference in overall performance between them.

    Is there any comparison between the bridgestone and michelin pilot sport in durability?

    Continental ContiSportContact2 treadwear is 280.
    Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 treadwear is 220.
    Bridgestone Potenza RE050A treadwear is 140.
    Pirelli PZero Rosso Asimmetrico treadwear is 220.

    I don't understand the numbers according the treadwear... can you explain please?

    Unfortunately, comparing treadwear rating across manufacturers is pretty much pointless.

    I have them and they are NOT the Pole Position

    I have the Bridgestone Potenza RE050A on my XRR-equipped 997S Cab. While there is a Pole Position tire out there,--I probably am not a good enough driver to use them. I'm already scared enough as it is! I can't speak for their ultra high speed capabilities. I never went over 285 kph on the autobahns. (I think, I was sorta busy at the time).
