    What will be the ball park price for a 997 GT3?

    Just curious since a work colleague says his buddy is taking delivery of one soon $180k...

    $180k? I think that's a wee bit high. Those cars starts at $106k without options. Even with all the options, I don't see how it could hit $180k. Maybe he's getting it marked up quite a bit. I would imagine that you'd be able to get it at MSRP if you shopped around a bit.

    Yes, I was offered one at MSRP, Dec build/Jan delivery, passed it on.

    Rumored price is between $115k and $125k before options...

    Especially since the US version comes with very few of the "RS" parts. We won't get racing seats, perspex rear window, rollcage, etc.

    The only things we will get over the GT3 are wider hips, sunroof-delete, paint/graphics, revised F&R spoilers, light flywheel, and slightly different suspension, afaik...

    If you friend wants to spend 180K have him contact me. I will be more then happy to hook him up with my dealer for a small fee (180K friend's cost - 125K cost of car = 55K my fee)

    doesn't it start at 106k? according to the porsche website

    OH - I assumed we were talking about the GT3 RS. Yes, GT3 is $106k...

    If you go to www.Porsche.com, you can spec one out for yourself on the car configurator...
