    Tuned 997 TT speedo clip

    500 miles since the Protomotive tune. full tank of gas (93 oct), 2nd gear rolling start in sport mode. Notice the sustained boost beyond 4000rpm.

    Overboost is already sustained beyond 4000, in part because it slowly diminishes to 5000, where it ceases to be USABLE. I'm sure that your mods have improved power, however, your video, although impressive, reveals nothing new.
    The arrow always remains illuminated (if your foot stays firmly planted ) until the pedal is released.

    Devo, I don't think you noticed the boost of 1.2 bar after 5000 rpm, before the tuning it used to go back to 0.9 bar and stayed there till redline. The power is not only coming from redline extension, it is a combination of longer redline, longer boost as well as different A/F maps.
    Just wanted to share with people interested in future tuning. Thanks.

    sorry i didnt notice nothing different..

    only the REVS 7400rpm in 3rd!!!!

    how much the estimated gain??

    Maybe I'm mistaken but I'm certain my guage indicates overboost all the way to redline now. (Of course, I realize that it ceases at 5000) I don't know about others, but, I don't care how much more power you can achieve past redline. I'm comfortable keeping my $50k engine within the mechanical limits those silly Porsche engineers imposed.

    Xandi911, the tuner dynoed a car similar to mine at over 500 hp at the wheels in sport mode and with 94 octane (98 european).even if the gain was only 50 hp I would still be happy.

    Devo, you are not mistaken the arrow lights up every time you go full throttle, it has nothing to do with how much boost you are making. Also, the power gains are NOT past redline, only the limiter was pushed up. the gains are where the stock car made 0.9 bars instead of 1.2 (between 4000 to 6600).
    Tuning is not for everyone and I get your concerns. My lesser concern stems exactly from the fact that porsche engineers are not silly and know what tuners will do.

    I really like your video... If i had a 997tt my first thing whould be to mod it.. Well Done..
    One question,(sorry if it is a silly one) is your car Tip or Manual ?!

    Nick, the car is manual. You can tell from the boost graph, it goes down between shifts, unlike a tiptronic which sustains boost throughout gear changes.
