    2007 Sport exhaust -- has anyone actually heard one?

    Greetings all,

    The sport exhaust, at $2,100, I hope is worth it. And if it is comparable
    to the PSE on the 996, it will be. But I can't find anyone on this side of
    the pond who has actual knowledge about it.

    How about anyone -- anywhere?

    It seems to be switchable, so one would presume it will
    sound like the standard exhaust when off and hopefully
    loud and proud when on.

    Anyone?

    PSE is the best option a person can get on a 997. i retrofitted PSE after a few months of owneership, i also performed that modification to keep it 'on all the time'

    it also adds a few bhp, according to the porsche mechanic

    Thanks! If it is similar to the 996/997 one (which it ought to be,
    given the price!), then it should be great.

    I have ordered it as well, so I was hoping someone out there in
    Boxsterland or Caymanland would have actually heard one by now.

    I don't know about ROW markets, but in Germany the first PSE equipped Boxsters are due for delivery early next year (January) only, so I guess that no mortal customer (might be different for factory "insiders") had the chance for a sound-check yet

    Ours is arriving in February or so, not even dealer knows the exact date, he said to us it will arrive later due to boxsters that already come with it from factory!

    Anyone know if the new PSE is strictly for the MY07 3.4l 987, or if it is also intended for MY05-06 987's also? I'd love to put in on my MY06 987S!

    According to my dealer in Australia it is designed for both 3.4 and 3.2 (not sure about the 2.7). Due for release here in April 07

    retrofit PSE for MY06, both 2.7 and 3.2.Not for MY05

    It is always possible of course, with Porsche you never know, BUT I doubt it, same engine and same exhaust MY 05 versus MY 06, we'll see won't we.

    Exactly my thoughts - as there shouldn't be any technical changes from MY 05 to MY 06 I can't see why it shouldn't be possible to install PSE in a MY 05 car

    why not retrofit MY05 but MY06 2.7/3.2?
