Disco is Dead - Long Live LR3
From The Car Connection (web page).
A preview of the replacement for the Land Rover Discovery. The Discovery name is being dropped, at least in the US. Among the changes are a new V8 from Jaguar. It's nice to see that old pushrod aluminum V8 they bought from Buick has finally gone away. I also see that the frame is now integrated with the body. That's another major departure from tradition. The text doesn't say if they have gone to independent suspension like the Range Rover but I do not see differential housings visible in these photos, so maybe. Looks like the roof window is gone.
