    Tyres on my new 997TT

    Can anyone out there please confirm the tyres that comes with these cars. My TT just arrived and its got Bridgestone Potenza. I thought they came with Michelin Sports. Anyone has any ideas as to which tyres are better on the TT. Michelin or Bridgestones? Feedback is much appreciated.

    At a meeting of 4 997TT's yesterday, 3 had PS2's and the other had Bridgestones - personally, I had very good experience with the PS2's, especially in the wet...
    I would'nt have sleepless nights over this - I believe the engineers at Porsche do their homework

    i bet they will be fine,....at least they weren't dunlop sportmasters or somesuch nonsense..

    I'm hoping that mine has PS2s. I've used them before on my old M5 and loved them. I'm not too crazy about the RE050A but then again I haven't given them a chance yet.

    Thanks guys for all your feedback Much appreciated! One question for WeTT, you mention at your meet 3 had Michelins and one Bridgestone. Any chance of finding out from the guy with bridgestone how the tyres feeland would like his opinion too. Always had Michelins. Thanks guys

    I believe that was W211 - PM him - or hopefully he reads this thread...

    Nice meeting you all yesterday, thanks Jason for arranging it. Having driven the Bridgestone RE050A in the rain, I'm actually quite impressed.

    However, it's difficult to make a meaningful comparison as I haven' tried the same car with the PS2. Maybe we need to hook up with Whoopsy to do a back to back test.

    I spent 2 years in Malaysia, lovely country, where about are you? I figure wet contraction will be most important during the rainy season?
