Brake noise - INTERMITTENT BRAKE pitch issue
My brakes on 987s are producing intermittent brake pitch noises and my advisor said they had to grind up the pads a bit and trial and error to trouble shoot. I rather take an observation approach but wondering how common this problem is amongst 987s owners.
My brake brakes normally but does INTERMITTENTLY produce
some high pitch noises (like those you hear when buses brake). Inputs?
See it is NOT always reproducible. Yesterday, it was completely fine
and silent and today it made a few of those noises when braking but it
is not as prominent as 2 weeks ago. Maybe my braking has caused the
brake pads to wear out a bit so now it is with a different % of brake
pads left hence making less noise.
The advisor did say that if I brake it up a few times hard, the brake
pads wear out differently and the noise would go away. It seems to be
a minor problem but still don't want it to be there.
Most cars like mercedes have no problem at all according to my observation on streets.
