Sell, keep, sell, keep?
I'm trying to sell my 986S and planning on getting a 987S 3.4l.
I have to pay appr. 210,000$ (in Danish Kroner) for a new 987s and I expect to get around 110,000$ for my 986s.
Sales have been slow, and since I have to get a new car before Jan 1 2007 (tax deduction etc) , time is slowly running out.
This got me thinking;
Would it make sense to keep the 986s and give it a cosmetic overhaul and perhaps even get it tuned?
The car's value will only drop very slowly from now on, whereas a new 987 will cost me a lot in that dept.
My 986 is in very nice condition visually, and only has a few minor problems mechanically. It has 105,000 km (appr 64,000 miles) on the clock and runs smoothly.
I'd like the 987S for a number of reasons: + BHP, interior, PASM ect - but I am in no hurry. I could wait a year or two if need be.
I was also thinking about getting a Lotus Exige or Opel Speedster for the track. This could be done if I dont upgrade to a 987s.
Any advice?
