    Dilemma....

    Just get an email from my dealer.... my original 'formal' build date was Dec '07, but he's just emailed me with a cancellation for a Mar '07 build - one of the perks of being a loyal repeat customer, a little earlier than my financial planning wanted.... but! A sleepless night tonight whilst I decide.......

    Nothing to ponder over. You'll have the car a full 9 months earlier. Plus you'll have enough time to finalise your options before the order becomes locked. Good luck!

    You have to decide between waiting 5 months or waiting 14 months.

    Do you really need to sleep on it?

    If you wait for the Dec 07 build, you will get the 2008 model which may have different options (cough PDK cough)....

    Thanks for the 'advice' all - I know what my heart wants to do, but I'm listening to my head. With travel etc. early next year I'm not going to be ready for the car until at least May.. it'll just stay sat in the dealers and/or garage so my delaer is going to approach their customer with a May build slot to see if they'll swap... then we'll all be happy. Sounds mad I know, but I'll also get the factory collection which is something I really want to do this time.

    Ok, I'm mad.. and now I'm typing it I can feel some regret knawing at my stomach...... but I'm away most of March/April next year so I am right, aren't i?

    (Or does anyone want to look after the car and get it thru' the brerakin period for me whilst I'm away?)

    I wasn't planning on getting mine till next May...but the slot was available and I am so glad I took it and ordered mine in March. I have 9200 kilometers on this car and lovin every second of it... Life is far too short. Garage queen be damned.

    I would wait. The Dec '07 build would be the second model year. After my '99 996 fiasco, I don't trust this company in the first model year. Both of my Turbo's have been later model year cars.

    If you can't stomach writing that big FAT check, then better to wait and see. Either way, best of luck with whatever decision you will make. We are not much help, ha?
