Lets not forget Michael has been in this situation with the champioship being decided in the last race, and what happened in those two instances? Micheal coincidentally crashed into the other contender when they were going to overtake him to win the championship.
1994 - Damon Hill vs Schumacher: MS damages his car agaisnta a wall, Damon Hill tries to go on the outiside and is blocked by MS, then goes for the inside, MS knowing that if neither of them finish the race he gets the championship, MS turns into Damon Hill hard and both drivers were out of the race. MS wins the championship.

1997 - Ms having a mechanical problem in his car that was breaking down, sees Villenueve coming much faster, Villeneuve makes a completely clean pass but Schumacher throws his car at Villenueve in a deliverate attept to crash him, unfortunately MS gets the worse part this time and Villenueve is able to continue to win the championship.

This is Schumacher's sad curriculum that some people may have forgoten or didn't watch F1 back then. But I really doubt he will try anything like that on Alonso, not because he wouldn't be able to do such an act, he has done it before and would do it again, but he risks ending his career with bad publicity and that is not good for him. Also in this case, MS would have to win the race and if he crashes his chances of winning are remote. Now "esquire" Massa, thats a different story

I believe this picture was taken during the Suzuka GP, which may account for why the car performed without a faulty bolt...
I think it shows great sportsmanship that Ferrari helps out their competitor like this. As you can see they even fitted a Bridgestone tyre instead of the Michelin.

Absolutely!
BTW he deserves it. But I think only a technical problem or a major crash can Alonso keep from his second title.
