RS fly wheel and sunroof

I have a good friend who has just told me some very exciting news about the RS in the USA. It will come as we all have heard, with no sunroof. But it will also come with a single mass flywheel. I have complete confidence in the source. I was a little sceptical about the previous postings regarding the sun roof being deleted (from Mr Swartzenbauer) but with this news it is definately true. Hope everyone is happy with the great news....

Thanks. Is the RS engine different in any way from the GT3?

Also does your friend know why Porsche does not allow the PCCB option for Persian Gulf countries?

The engine is the same as the GT3. As for the PCCB's for the middle east, I have never asked. Since he is from PCNA, he would have to find out from Germany and that is a question I don't want to burden him with. I ask him enough questions regarding the North America market already.

Officially, yes, but what about unofficially?

Unless I'm mistaken, the 996 GT3 RS unofficially received a blueprinted engine in contrast to the 996 GT3. I wonder if PAG no longer chooses to demand that extra attention to detail for the 997 GT3 RS.

I think the 996GT3RS has some published differences and even has a different engine code...
