Re: The new Smart Roadster Coupe by AC?
Those are great news. In fact I appreciated the Smart's basic concept - in terms of size and layout it was quite stirring on the current sportscar market, yet being derived from classic sportscar concepts from the past.
Apart from the ridiculous pricing, it was lacking credentials in the most essential aspects of sportscars - handling and joy. Not only was the gearbox extremely obtrusive, the steering was very indirect and made me guess, that Smart tried to stay on the very safe side handlingwise, not to experience similar difficulties as with the initial A-class and Smart two-seaters.
It's greatly appreciated, yet surprising, that Gordon Murray plays a role in several current sportscar iterations. I am very curious about the outcome.
