    I esp like the "turbo" exhaust pipes sticking out of the rear bumper, as opposed to below like the yellow "997".

    again, really looks too much like the 996. I hope the final product will be more distinguishable from the 996...

    Those cars look boringly similar to the 996.

    more curvy back. Which I hope will be represented by the "S" model.
    And I also hope (and almost sure) that the front spoiler will be different, this one is very ugly, but it looks like heavy camouflage anyway.

    The front spoiler of the Turbo? Because I think the one on the yellow and black 911 are the real thing?

    I think "hideous" is a little strong. "Undistinguised" maybe, but sometimes things look better in person.

    Yes for so many "diehard" fans, no one seems to be excited about the next evolution of the 911. I dont know exactly what everyone expected. Everytime it has evolved since its inception, there has been bitching. And everytime it is better than before. People that bitched about the change from 993 to 996, will now bitch because it is changing again. And the cycle will go on as long as Porsche is in business. I would have to agree, I too am excited, and know even the minor changes will be an overall evolution of the car that is always attempting perfection.

    Damn... it really makes me sad that the 997 has failed to impress me yet.
    I like the shape of the highly unique and very modern looking 996 02' headlamps and I think that even after the release of the 997, the 996 turbo and 996 4S will still be first choice, when it's design you're after.
