    I am pretty sure however that Porsche will be generous when it comes to 918 issues/repairs...even after the warranty runs out. They cannot afford to p.ss off good customers and the 918 is still their Halo car.

    I don't think so.  Porsche knows well that they can afford the repair/maintenance fees.

    918 owners already have enough favours from Porsche, that's not including the big appreciation of 918 itself and 911R, etc.

    Note to self - buy the next Porsche Halo car.Smiley

    Porsche is smart, the next halo car will be priced well above $1mio. CGT was $440k, bare 918 $680k (which is why many including me bailed on it) and they both now trade significantly higher. I also think it might be full electric Smiley

    He's right..that was the base msrp before options were added.

    MSRP for a base 918 before options is 845k US. Weissach cars are 920k.

    Here is something you don't see everyday, a Porsche supplied padlock!

    That's the main cut off switch for the car. Since my car is undergoing major surgery, the hybrid electrical system has to be disconnected. Porsche's rules states that the cut off has to be locked and the key be carried by the technician working on the car at all times. 

    And yes, that lock is acid green

    Well, in Germany your car can get impounded for a sticker plate without the necessary "stamp". The fine itself isn't too expensive but if the police officer wants to send a message (or doesn't like your nose), you walk home. Smiley

    Sticker plates are mostly illegal in Germany, with very very few exceptions. 

    Not sure about the license plate laws in Canada but I assume Nick knows his stuff...

    He does...they're pretty anal about front plates in BC so better to get something that won't leave a "mark" up front even though it's off to the side. I use the same setup for my daily driver here in WA too. My buddy has that sticker on his and he's been hassled a couple times by the man with shiny shoes.

    I have the same offset license bracket. Much better than drilling holes in the front bumper.

    Black, white cars are the hardest to photograph, easy to underexpose a black car and overexpose on whites, take quite a bit of skills to get them correct.

    And black, in the strict sense is not really a colour, it's a mirror that reflects it's surroundings. 

    That's the allure of a black car. It's a blank canvas that takes on whatever scenery that surrounds it.
