    Stock versus Aluminum pedals?

I want to upgrade from the stock pedals to aluminum. What brand offers best quality in pedals? Is drilling the only option for installing them on a 997? Thanks

    Re: Stock versus Aluminum pedals?

Hi there, this was the first thing I changed after I got the car because the stock pedals cannot be used for heel and toe using the ball of the foot. I got mine from e-bay and they even had the turbo logo on them and look great with excellent quality. You do have to drill to install and one word of caution when you install the gas pedal over the plastic stock pedal, make sure the upper screw is short enough so that it doesn't stick out from the back because it can get stuck to the back side when you floor the pedal. don't ask me how I know.
    Good luck.

    Re: Stock versus Aluminum pedals?

Do you happen to have the link to those pedals you found? I'd like to see what they look like.

    Re: Stock versus Aluminum pedals?

the seller was "5th-gear" on e-bay. There are a few listed now without the logo, mine had the turbo logo on and they look stock (they were shipped from the far east).

    Re: Stock versus Aluminum pedals?

Jason: by now you must have a garage full of stuff that you planned of putting on the Turbo, is it safe to say it will be in the shop for the next century while you hang all you stuff in the car? :P
Hope your car arrives quickly and safely so you can enjoy it sooner.

    Re: Stock versus Aluminum pedals?

Nick, oh no...I don't plan to get these. I was just curious to what they looked like. I like the stock pedals, thank you very much. I have a few parts but not that many!

I followed your advice on the pedals and just received them yesterday. The quality is extremely good. The Turbo logo is machined into billet alluminum and it looks OEM quality. The ebay seller I purchased mine from was orangehuang531 Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

    Do they look like this?

    Re: Stock versus Aluminum pedals?

They are exactly like those pictured. I am very impressed with the quality.
