GTechniq NANO Coating

Rennteam folks, this is a website on a relatively new product I had noticed. Supposedly, it was done on boats and airplanes and this nano coating will guard my 987s against UV and contaminants.

I was informed that the price would be 5950 HKD for my 987s 700+ USD and it is a one off coating. After that, my car should be washed with nothing but plain water and I was told not to use any car shampoo. Furthermore, I was informed to then never to have to wax my car thus avoiding nasty swirlmarks.

The coating is supposedly a one off lifetime application.

I am contemplating on doing it and just wondering what you guys think of this gtechniq deal.

Or should I simply forget about it?

Nano coating is supposed to be the best thing possible, you just have to watch out for "scam" because a lot of people try selling you nano coating, when it actually doesnt use nano.

it took me 3 months to find anything like it in my country, and i will be doing it sometime soon (rather expencsive: 1000 Euros, i was quoted), but the results supposed to be exeptional.

The original is an English Chap by the name of Drew V Gill but for some reason it is only being deployed in HK. No one elsewhere seems to know about GTechniq and that casts some doubts on the technology. Plus it is a black box approach and you never know what they spray on.

He said easy to clean (without soap ever) is the issue. Therefore then there will be no spiderwebs.

Wax free forever (hard to believe)... if so I wish Turtlewax and Meguiars good luck. A large portions of their businesses are in selling wax and unless they come out with nano spray coatings, they will be outta business soon.

I don't know about nano spray but I used the one call GLARE, they do simialer job but only last one and half year. So far half year past and it work, no wax just water but better than lots of my friends car.

This technology - ala the mercedes' finish ,would be amazing if it could be applied aftermarket.

Imagine being able to clean the car with a rag...

but it has to be done by a proffesional. for a proper Nanocoating you dont buy a spray over the inet and apply it yourself, no matter what people tell you.

The proper way is to get it done by someone who has experience.

FS, where do you get GLARE IN HONG KONG? Finally, MOOGLE, do you know of this GTECHniq place at AP LEI CHAU?

Cookie Monster, I got my in CWB but is closing down now, so you can go to Kornhill or Teleford to do it.

FS, is it professionally applied aftermarket or is it something you put on yourself? Where in Kornhill?
