Problem is, that German car manuacturers never seem to get the colours for the interior right, except for black or grey. Shades of brown are never as elegant as in Italian or British cars.

Brown leather interiors seemed to be out of fashion for quite a long period of time (at least in Germany). Since a year a so it seems to become very popular again, especially in cars like MB S-Class or Audi A8 (though not as nice as P's Cocoa
)
