    My Lotus Exige S vs my Audi RS4

    Had some fun on the weekend, decided to drag race my RS4 and Lotus Exige S on the weekend. I was quite suprised with the outcome, the RS4 stuck to the Lotus and was neck to neck, consider that the Lotus is a 1.8 Inline-4 S/C motor with 220hp and the Audi is a 4.2 V8 with 420hp.

    The race took place rolling from first gear at around 40kmh/25mph. The two cars were exactly the same all the way to 200kmh/125mph, from there the Lotus' 5th gear the Audi started to pull. I'm still impressed with the Lotus like heck though. The Audi is one fast car

    great vids. thanks mike. but the rs4 is really pulling away! and what amazed me more is the engine sound! is this the sound of the exige????

    Yes, that is the Exige's exhaust note. It's so loud you can't even hear the RS4

    Yip, now you must know how loud that Exige is It's deafening even inside the car.

    As far as I know youtube doesn't support this type of format?

    RS4 should be faster.... Trust me, it's a fast car and the engine is amazing! The first shipment was sold out VERY fast over here and I cant fing these cars anywhere now.
    Only one I could find was a black cabriolet and although its a good performing + good looking car, its not for me. That Cab should make hearing that V8 soundtrack even better though...

    PSE with the "mod" is much louder than the RS4.

    I'd assume your RS4 has very low mileage so far? The car should open up once it has some miles on the clock!

    The Audi has 2500km's on the odo

    The Lotus has 2200km.

    Theres a loud RS4, a much louder Carrera S with PSE, a much louder (again) Ferrari F430, and a somewhere inbetween Lotus Exige S....+ a (again) loud Lamborghini LP640 coming soon; if I was your neighbour I'd have thrown all your windows out by now

    The Noble is also damn loud, about as loud as the Lotus!

    Mike I am curious. How do you decide which car to drive? If you had to choose one to keep and sell the rest which one would you choose?

    Mike, which exhaust have you fitted to your Exige S? If you want to go out of your mind, try the Arqray Single tip titanium exhaust. It gets you thrown out of tracks here in the U.S..

    I prefer the car that has the most "fun factor". For me the Exige is way more fun to drive than the RS4. The RS4 is just a fast daily beater.

    Never heard of it? I don't think I would want my Exige much louder than it is now. At the moment my ears start to ache after long drives
