    Chinese GP

So, after an interval of 3 weeks, here we are again.

I'm listening to qualification live on BBC radio five live extra. Why are ITV F1 not showing it LIVE? crazy....

ITV are showing a variety of cartoons and kiddie's programmes on ITV1, ITV2, ITV3 adn ITV4! shocking...

I think the rain will be the main factor. The intermediate Michelins are running far better than the Bridgestone intermediate tyres. If it rains, Alonso will win. If it doesn't Schumacher has a chance to go ahead.

Let's see what happens. I'll be watching live at 7am London time tomorrow....

    Re: Chinese GP

well, watching now...michelins are far superior...

    Re: Chinese GP

Nice effort from Schumi with the bridgestones...

    Re: Chinese GP

Lets hope that weather forecast is right and tommorow will rain

    Re: Chinese GP

    Please, allow my five cents,

I'm very happy Alonso did the pole, but we all have to recognize, that the Master Shumaker (in spite the conditions where not with his combo), did a magnificent work, a couple of masterpiece laps, with non a single mistake, at least I could not appreciate them if he did, and believe me, very difficult in "his" conditions. Superb concertation......."Chapeau Michael"

....this time with non obscure office trics........A great winner as Shummi does not need them. And I much prefer Alonso winning, but, Shummi is capable of the impossible. If he finally wins in a sportive battle between two grat pilots, I'll be the same congratulated....Maybe F1 (Thanks the rain or whatever changing conditions, that's life!) is still alive.

    Re: Chinese GP

Rain in the race would make it a Michelin show...

    Re: Chinese GP

Yeah, Feminando likes to sit on the pole....

Who would reject it? ......besides the possible jokes in his/her name

Michael also tries hard!........and he does magnificently!

    LOL...HAHAHAHAHAHAHA..
Without a doubt Doc you are the AliG of rennteam. Or I should say Borat!

    Re: Chinese GP

Looks like the Charlie Whiting and Schumi team can control the rule book but not the weather. Wonder what Charlie Whitting will try on this race though I think that after all the critizism ha has recieved he may lay his hands off the puppet strings he has been pulling in F1.

Another anecdote in the F1 circus and corruption: We all remember how Alonso was sanctioned by FIA-Charlie Whitting for "blocking Massa in qualifying" when Alonso was on his fast lap and a whole 100m distance from Massa the whole time, and proven later by telemetry that there was no blocking and completely unintentional since Alonso himself was trying to make his best lap out of that lap which was his only change afetr having to come in to pits due to a blow-out.

Well, after the uproar from the biased rulings becoming to obvuious and always in favor of a particular driver, now FIA revise the rules after the race! the driver can only be penalised if the blocking is INTENTIONAL! which is as close to admiting they fault trying to calm things down.

But it continues. Charlie Whiting had a reunion with Alonso on Friday on which he wanted to "explain" the reasoning behind his desitions in his latest sanctions and how they were "correct". Of course Alonso, who doesn't know how to shut up, stood up to him and gave him a mouthful and told him exactly how he saw it.
Word got out of this meeting and the next day, Alonso was named by all the F1 drivers as the president of the Gran Prix Driver's Asso. (GPDA) position previously held by Schumi... so now Charlie Whiting will have to deal a lot more with Alonso! who will now end the sisterhood and butt kissing to FIA political line that Schumi had carried out in that position (wonder what has been behind the recent FIA-Charly Whiting rulings? ). In fact Alonso had stopped attenting to any of the GPDA meetings after Indianapolis last year. Now he has been elected president by the drivers, and that is a clear message to F1 politians... One of the things he is going to start working on is to establish a estbility to the F1 rulings and that Charlie Whiting does not concentrate all the power to take desitions arbitralily by huimself, but rather by a team of marshalls. It seems things are a' changin' in F1

Thank you Carlos for the info....In the end, words apart, is so clear that races are dealed in the offices, rather than in the track.........But I feel very, very happy that Mr. Alonso is there....He has a strong personality, like it or not....not my style, but I sincerely admire his resolution and I will allways support him........He is a winner.....with no tricks..maybe there is his sin......many people (specially in Spain) can not forgive those who are winners..

    Re: Chinese GP

    Nice race :-)

    Re: Chinese GP

Suck my duck. I just realized that our local TV network announced that they wouyld broadcast the GP, but they failed to mention that it would be a taped broadcast 12 hours after the fact!! WTF??
So now I just missed the race.
So the guys are tied. Which means Schumi will win the title unless something unusual happens.

    Re: Chinese GP

Well? I guess you cant blame this one on the FIA.. Great drive by MS. I'm constantly amazed at what this guy can do in a Formula 1 car. Alonso sure was pissed off at the end of this one..
