    997 Turbo..WHAT A CAR!!

    Guys..

    sure i'm excited becouse i take it home yesterday..


    but this car is really a Space Shuttle

    i make only 150km,but this car has nothing to do with a 996 Turbo..NOTHING!

    My former 996TT was ecu modified and with Techart exhaust..so is not stock..but this is faster in every gear

    The short shifter is a must..incredible how precise is the shifter..

    Yes..there is again a turbo lag..but when the turbos start to work,is a jump in the future..incredible

    Till 1000km i'm waiting to go over 5000 rpm,and i never tried to full throttle in first gear but i think that the car would be jumped on the rear wheels!!

    And the exhaust sound?
    Sure it doens't sound like my former TT with Techart exhaust,but sure none like a stock 996TT,the sound is good,and when the turbo are spooling the woooooooooooooosh sound is great!!

    Really,i can't tell nothing bad on this car..i love it..

    Congrats! It's nice to hear that you're so happy with your purchase. The car loks fantastic. Agreed, the new Turbo is a great space shuttle.

    Guys..again 120km,now we are at 270km..

    The more the use the shifter,the more i like it..is hard,but is really precise and SHORT..really!is an important options for manual shifter fans..

    The adaptive sports seats are great also this option is really advised,i think the result of the sport seats in "keep you" is the same of GT3/CGT seats..(sure this looks better,IMHO)

    Small carbon package looks good,sure something in carbon on the doors would be great too..but i have ended the money..

    and coming back on the road side..

    The more i drive this car,the more i think is stunning,fast etc..,the only thing is that there is turbo lag...but is not a problem for me,i must only put the foot on the floor before..

    The first thing i make before to put the first gear to go out from the garage,i push the sport button..and after today i can tell you that the car is really glued to the road...

    Last but not least,again the exhaust sound..really i don't understand why our friend RC and someone other tell the car sounds bad..really,i like the sound at low rew and i love the psssssssssssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh sound of the turbos

    damn..i love this car,and she loves me!

    Really awesome car.
    I'm still struggling to get my first porsche but i've heard great thing about 997TT.
    All the best Darius (A question: considering you are complaining about turbo lag did you consider to buy a GT3? i've seen a a GT3 and a GT3RS yesterday and the sound was awesome.

    I completely agree with you Dario. The exhaust sound is not bad at all. It sounds much more throaty and menacing than my 997S ever did. And, the short shifter is, like you described, very precise and the throws are very short. I found that if you are light on the throw from first to second, that the shift is not hard at all. Just let the lever go in it's natural path, if that makes any sense. I found it to be much more satisfing if it's not "forced".
    Again, congrats. I love the interior and the carbon.

    Silvershadow..i go for the Turbo instead of the Gt3 becouse i love Turbo engine..and i know that there is turbo lag...
    i talk of this "problem" only becouse i can't find nothing bad in this car and the only thing that came up in my mind is the turbo lag,that is similar to the 996TT lag also with the VTG

    Devo..in this first kms i'm not able yet to make fast shifting..or better,i'm too slow to change gear and the car is too fast to take RPM..so..i must take confidence with the short shifter,thanks for the advice

    It's good to hear someone is fully happy with his car. The most people I hear are saying "yeah, it drives like hell, BUT..." and then the complaining starts... :P Now go and enjoy her!

    Super congrats darius, it's a real beauty

    I'm very glad you're not disapointed with the car. When I test drove it I was also impressed, however it was too short have an real idea of what this car has to offer.

    You make me drool, fortunately mine should be there in 10 days and counting. I will soon join the club... Can't wait any longer
