    The ML 63 AMG is faster 0-100 than my 996 C4 cab... Scary.

    So what will be the answer for Porsche? 550hp base TT?

    Last month dad was attempting to buy one of these ML63's but i stopped him. I think it is crazy to give that money for a suv. It performance it f..ing crazy especially

    0-100:5 and 0-200: 17.7 sec. It is nearly Carrera S tiptronic time. However it is 40.000 Euro expensive than Carrera S.
    I think best suitable engine power for any SUV is around 300-350 hp thats enough imo.

    That ML63 is beast but useless for that price

    ... or, can it go off-road like a Cayenne? I know this function is of little interest to most SUV owners, especially the pricey ones we are talking about here, but off-road capability is a basic function of an SUV. If it can't go off-road, why even use the SUV form factor? Why not get a minivan?

    They(AMS) said that ML63 is better on the road then Cayenne Turbo S! But, Cayenne is marginally better in off-road situation(but, only with off-road tires!).
    Regarding everything else their verdict is pretty clear-Cayenne even in Turbo S is dated... And cost around 20000Euro more in Germany then similary spec ML63...

    In two key areas of performance the Porsche is the winner. Autozeitung tested the ML63 verses the Cayenne Turbo S.

    Slalom
    Cayenne Turbo S 61.9 km/h
    ML63 AMG 58.7 km/h

    Braking 100 km/h to 0 km/h
    Cayenne Turbo S - 36.1
    ML63 AMG - 37.3

    Both of these measures of performance are more important to me than the ML being slightly faster in a drag race. Let them chase me through the twisties.
