Hey Markus,
How about 80-120km/h(both in 5. and 6. gear)?
You like test data, don't you?
But, despite all that power it is heavy car...
200 kg heavier than the Turbo... But boy, does it go! I wonder how it would do in a head-to-head race against the LP640 .
Suspect wt diffce btwn US-spec 599 w/CCM, F1, racing seats, all comfort options and full 28+gall fuel tank vs 997TT w/Tip, PCCB, adap spt seats, all comfort options (incl US mandatory sunroof) and full 17.7gall fuel tank is <50kg....
Consider what 640/SL65/Veyron weigh....
Then ask how precise one's own sense of wt is (if blinded to actual wts) for today's perf cars w/latest-tech chassis/trannies/brakes, etc on normal, imperfect roads
....latest N-ring/Hoch times for allegedly heavy GT cars are awfully close to (and sometimes better than) super-lean, more one-dimensional wannabe racecars, in hands of a pro in a controlled setting....
Wt conscious wannabe racecar drivers on a budget should get a GT3RS...and those w/a few more bucks should get an FXX and not deal w/silly street car compromises....
Not sure in-gear accel times are particularly useful metrics in a world of fast-shifting trannies, like 599 F1, and some cars like 65 where turbo lag/gearing seem almost irrelevant to mid-range accel....and others like 997TT that do suffer from annoyingly apparent turbo lag and where perhaps Tip shift times (or one's manual shift speeds/accuracy) are more relevant....
