    White TT

    Decided to switch the Atlas Grey to a White with black interior. Love the Atlas but fell for white. I paid the hefty price of $750 which should have been STD for the rocker side panles in white but did not change the front lip to white as I am worried about scratches to the white lip. Black hides any minor scratches. Will it look odd to have white rocker panels but black front lip? I still can make the change to my order. Thx.

    Oh, Forgot one other question. How about black wheels? Will it look odd on a white car?

    It will look bad and evil....!
    Just kidding but it will certainly look agressive. The problem is when you try to resell it, that you may find it a bit hard to do so..

    I really don't think about selling when buying these cars.

    I have a white/black Carrera S, with black rims. I love the combination, and will most likely order the same combination for my TT. For a picture, search my name and white Carrera S, sometime in May or June of this year.

    I recommend a few carbon touches for the interior--I have carbon on the dashboard strip, the emergency brake handle, the shifter and the seat belt openings.

    I also will order PCCBs, as I think they are terrific and like the yellow against the white and black.

    I also had the rear badge deleted, which I like. Or you may want to paint the badge black after you get the car. I don't think you can order a black badge, but maybe.

    You will love the white--good decision, and very stylish.

    Good choice on the white . As for the wheels, I say go for it, I am sure it will make the TT look way more agressive than what it already is.

    I don't think Porsche offers painted wheels yet for the new TT. If I am wrong, please advise...

    Porsche DOES offer painted wheels for the 997TT. Only the inside spokes though. Colored to match.

    Thanks guys. The front lip in white looks BAD in the picture. I will call the dealer and ask about the painted wheel. This car is getting outrageously expensive but damn worth it.

    The front and back skirts of my GT Silver 997 TT were painted locally by my dealer to complement the painted side skirts. The bit of scraping of the front skirt over low speed bumps, entry and exit over curbs, etc. has not been noticeable on the front of the skirts, even though roughness of the underside can be felt (the non painted area). I am very happy with the look and would recommend painting the front and back to complete the look. The rear bumper was removed in order to paint the rear panel to avoid paint overspray, dust, etc. on the brand new car.

    The wheels can only be painted in exterior color ($1290 option) and in my case it would be White which I will not do. Techart is the way to go probably just like the picture.

    That option code is XD9 and yes, it costs $1,290 just as silverrules quoted. Hardly worth it, IMHO.

    white and black cool. White and white is very, very, lets just say

    iMO white cars look good in regions soaked with plentiful sunlight. If the sky is nasty and grey or cloudy and white, im not so awed by white. Plus, like a blackie, a whitey needs to be kept nice and clean.

    On the vehicle generator on the Porsche North America website, it allows you to get the wheels painted the exterior color of the car. However, it only paints the inside of the wheel. You can see the color through the slits, but it is still predominantly polished aluminum.

    I agree white wheels would look horrible. Suprised they wont let you specify other colors.
    Does anyone know if you order the front lip to be painted, will it include the front grills as well? I sure hope not. That would be too much IMHO. I asked the dealer and they didnt know, dah....

    The front lip only was painted by the local paint shop (as far as I know, the factory will not paint the front and back skirts). The 997 TT is shipped with the front skirt off of the vehicle. The grill was left original (black).
    If the rear lip is desired to be painted, the bumper is removed. Then the front and back skirt can be sent to your or your dealer's favorite paint shop.

    The front and rear skirts can be painted for a nominal charge now. $500 as silverrules said...I forgot how much the rear is. There's an option available for the whole thing to be painted.

    The painted front grill is not included in the painted front lip option. There is a seperate option for the front grill.

    That would've looked really bad if you went with white lips PLUS the grill. Good choice there buddy! I'm still trying to decide if I should get my lower lips/skirts painted to match. I saw another GT silver 997TT with that done and it looks pretty good. That particular one must have gone over a couple of "too low" driveways because the edges were scraped. Can't really tell unless you're looking underneath though.

    Atomic, I didn't care too much for painted grills and thought it was too much but I havent seen it like you have. I will not go with that option. Here is what I just added.

    Front lip painted code CNE $590
    Lower part of rear apron code CNG $590
    Painetd dials in white code XFJ $860. With all the black leather, the white dials will look better I think. They have a demo Cayenne Turbo S which has the white dials and they claim it looks very nice. I will go and see and make up my mind but for now I added it in.

    You were able to get the Carrara white dials? I was told that it wasn't available at the time of my order. They must have added it recently. I wanted to get white dials too!

    One other note is that your Sport Chrono stopwatch dial will not match the white dials. It'll still be silver. Just be aware of that...

    Excellent specs. You've got the model logo/crest in adaptive seat headrest thing right. Most people miss that and put crests on both.

    Saw a White/ Black/ PCCB turbo this past Sunday while on a rally and thought it looked amazing. White is a great color for this car. My wife loved it too.

    just one more? Leather on door's handle panels.
