I read this review on my flight back from the US to Germany.
It is pure BS, the data is very confusing, never saw a 997 Turbo in a car magazine to perform in 9.5 seconds from 0-100 mph. The review has been done in Italy as far as I remember. I can't help it but it seems that this is the same review done by an italian car magazine where the test results of the 997 Turbo were more than ridiculous (check the 997 Turbo forum, we had a thread about this).

Yes, same review as Quattroroute.

An italian mag may be biased in your oppinions but why does and us mag be biased i couldnt understand. BTW when porsche get perfect numbers the mag which did is named as king , if the rival cars did good numbers or porsche gets not best numbers the mag named as biased.

It was the SAME TEST. And yes, it was biased. Numbers were totally off and Ferrari brought the car in advance for the test drivers to drive it for a few days. So much for objectivity.

Andrej, I agree completely with you about Quattroroute comparison test. BUT... Here is the problem, every other magazine that tested 997 Turbo and its rivals achived some(for Porsche fans at least!) not very good track results with it. In Sport Auto(and just wait for the Supertest!) time 1.13,7min on Hockenheim is way slower then direct competitors. Same thing was in Auto Zeitung and Auto Bild on Oschersleben track... Yes, in all these tests 997 Turbo was the fastest car in straight line acceleration but, definitely not so impresive on the track.
I like 997 Turbo a lot but, I am also wondering what will happened when 997 Turbo Ring time(not very impressive as you will see...) will be published in Sport Auto? More conspirecy theories? Horst von Saurma not very competent(as some here already suggested)?
I agree very much with opinion in British EVO, 997 Turbo is the best overall sportscar on the market but, in drive dynamics some competitors are simply better.
I like 997 Turbo a lot but, I am also wondering what will happened when 997 Turbo Ring time(not very impressive as you will see...) will be published in Sport Auto? More conspirecy theories? Horst von Saurma not very competent(as some here already suggested)?

Whatever Von Saurma says is probably very accurate, so if he says the Turbo does it in 8:20 it probably does. I'm not one to stand up for a marque and defend it under all circumstances, so no conspiracy theories from me. However, I fear that the resident board trolls from the land of sun, pollution and Mexicans will just have one extra reason to pollute our boards with their trash talk
. In any case, the new Turbo obviously isn't the supercar everybody has been expecting, but as long as it performs on the Autobahn, I'm sure most people will be quite happy with it.

Well, I think that was only one person and this person said HvS is only not very competent when he is testing cars OTHER than Porsches.

F430 owner can choose typ of tire when ordering car from: Bridgestone RE050A, Goodyear Run Flats, Michelin, Pirelli Rosso and Corsa.
Gallardo: Pirelli Rosso or Corsa.
There are no any strange thing here, 997 Turbo owner will soon also be able to choose between normal Michelin's, Cup's or Pirelli Corsa's.
