    Any updates on 997 GT3 delays in UK/Europe yet ?

    Last time I heard anything from my OPC was first deliveries end of Nov in UK ? Has anyone heard informally anymore news on Porsche catching up their slippage.

    It seems to be holding. Dealers still qoutes delivery of the first GT3 in November.

    Today my dealer told me that my GT3 is going in the assembly line and it would be ready in september.

    I asked him to be more precise. He will let me know in these days.

    RossoCorsa - hi: is the September target delivery date the same as what your Dealer rescheduled for ? ie as planned or ahead of the reforecasted date ? thanks

    First GT3 here will be a September production. Dealer just confirmed it. That was my old spot taken by a close friend.

    GT3 looked fantastic at Goodwood. Much better than Turbo and sounded way better too

    Yep it was the same car they had at Thruxton last month for the launch event,white,clubsport with white wheels
    Did you notice who the driver was?Andreas Preuninger the man who was responsible for the development of the car There was a Cayenne Turbo S following and i asked the young guy driving it as the supercars queued to get onto the track if he had driven the Gt3 infront of him as i had ordered one .He just laughed and said "Yes ive driven it and you made a very good choice "

    Earlier my dealer confirmed delivering date for my GT3 in Juli. Second date was August. But now he said, that porsche stop all cars (including the already produced cars), to deliver to the customers. They have tecnical problems. Addionally porsche have plant-holidays in August. So my new delivery date is Oktober. All dates delayed at least 3 months.

    a) sorry for the bad news
    b) sorry for my bad english
    c) I`m very interested in other informations

    Thank you Fredl. Your English is clear ! This information is consistent with other UK dealers information ie 3month delayed from originally planned dates.

    my dealer told me late september !
    If the car will arrive in late october i'll resume my 997S on sale ...

    nice dreams guys , the 997 gt3 customers presentation will be in the last week of september ,so ....no cars before .

    Hi Sergini,

    in germany the presentation of the GT3 was in June. The problem is a tecnical-problem. Does anybody knows what the problem exactly is?

    yes,an external manifacturer fault producing somthing ...so now all Gt3s are blocked .
    Seems that is an important component reguarding safety (airbags ? belts? chassis? who knows?)

    I think it is the increased demand for the 997 TT, they use the same block..and the 997 TT is higher profit!

    Just hope they sort this out soon - the longer it takes it increases my frustration with Porsche. Overpromising and underdelivering is a big mistake. I really was looking forward to have the car to drive around at the end of this summer...but it looks like in winter time or worse. I was warned of Porsche reputation on delivery inaccuracies. It seems to be coming true.

    I will have detailed infos on 28th of august.

    Meanwhile my dealer told me that the car will be produced during september month and will be ready in late september....
    He invited me to the customer presentation of the GT3 in the last week of september , but he said that probably I already will have my GT3...

    Believe or not believe? This is the problem.....
