Fyi - the motor specs are virtually identical to the ones for the GT3 for almost exactly half the price...

But the usual sticker price is a bit above 55K...
Gauging from the new price it seems the new M3 will be slightly above 60K US.
Still a very good deal for 411HP.

New M3 will cost around 70000Euro in Germany so, something is clearly wrong with USA price. Engine specs are the right ones!

Same here in Spain, which equates to about $85k.
Wonder if the US-spec version will have the same Specs as the RoW-spec I remember that when the E36-M3 came out in the US, the engine was a detuned engine with only 250HP and at a significant cheaper price than Europe.
Otheriwise that US price is way too cheap, even for the american market. For that kind of money, you can't even buy a simple 3-series Coupe in Europe! the 325ci with only 218HP starts at 40,000 Euro

There is one BIG advantage of new M3 over 335i and that is M-Differential or LSD!

Yes, but I think there are several avaialble in the aftermarket (good opportunity to change to a lower differential final drive ratio also while in there).

It is really annoying that a 2 doors saloon, from a company with less pedigree, is having the same power as the "top of the sportiness" from the car that is the flagship in the Porsche range and all that for half of the price!!!
At the end we are really paying for the marque more than for the metal!!!

Should've stayed in the US, Carlos . Personally, I'd rather take the 335, change the suspension, brakes and exhaust and remap the engine. That would beat the M3 in all speed ranges.

Yrs, it's going to be interesting to see what companies like DMS Automotive can do with the 335i. They did a fantastic job on the 996 Turbo, the 535d and the new M5 according to Evo and other magazines.
